Just downloaded and ran WinAudit v3.1 and noticed that some information was missing.
1. DNS servers
No information under the DNS Servers field in any of the network adapters. Confirmed these are present using Ipconfig /all
2. Default IP gateway is empty as well.
Confirmed this is present using Ipconfig /all
3. IP Address is empty for the active network card although it shows the IP under DHCP IP Address
4. I checked my printers and found that my network printer (which is installed locally) is also missing from the Installed Printers. I can see the printer under Devices and Printers
Some information:
Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard
Model HP ENVY 17 Leap Motion SE NB PC
Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 64-Bit
Thanks
Hope you are able to fix these.
Comments: Hi, WinAudi can create a message log. On the menu, select Help->Start Logging. Run the audit then click on the the Log tab. Look for a message like "Start category 'Network TCP/IP'" without the quotes. Do you see any warnings or errors following that? If not, what does the OS say: 1. Open a command prompt 2. Enter wbemtest then press enter 3. Click the Connect button 4. A new window should open, in the top most field enter root\cimv2 5. Click the Connect button 6. Click the Enum Instances button 7. Enter the super class name Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration then click OK 8. In the new window there should be a list sorted by index. Next, double click each one to look for the DNSHosName in the Properties scroll box. Do you see any non <null> values? Also, do you see the expected values for DefaultIPGateway? For the printer, only local ones are shown, this by design. Previously WinAudit would list networked printers but that feature was removed due to latency/timeout performance issues.
